Objective
Develop user-centered solutions for emerging affluent clients and present a compelling product vision to the firm's president to generate interest and investment in desirable financial planning tools.
Stage 1
Ideation & Stakeholder Alignment
We began our journey by conducting interviews with stakeholders and financial advisors, followed by divergent ideation to generate a wide range of innovative and delightful concepts.
To align executive stakeholders around a vision, we then held a 3 day workshop to evaluate 36 concept sketches and narrow down to 8 move-forward directions using guided discussions, selection criteria, and facilitated activities.
Stage 2
Qualitative Concept Testing
We enhanced and elaborated upon the top 8 concepts, then evaluated product-market-fit through moderated research sessions with 15 participants using paper prototypes. Through our research, we assessed desirability towards elements within our concepts to further narrow our focus.
Stage 3
Quantitative Usability Testing
We took the positively received concepts and converged them into 5 distinct directions. Then, we conducted an additional round of unmoderated research sessions with a broader audience using clickable prototypes.
Final Deliverables
MVP Prototype
Through the insights gained from thorough qualitative & quantitative research, as well as additional stakeholder alignment sessions, we furthered refined and extended the winning solutions into a viable end-to-end user experience.
Executive Presentation
Lastly, we pitched our strategic product vision directly to the president and board of executives of the firm. Our presentation was highly catered towards the personalities of audience members to generate interest in pursuing the proposed product vision.
