Located in the heart of North Beach and named after San Francisco’s Prohibition Era den of iniquity, Devil’s Acre is a Barbary Coast themed bar by the renowned Future Bars Group based on apothecary’s and medicine shows from the turn of the 19th century.
I worked closely with the visionary owners and managers to carefully craft a brand and menu art direction fitting of the elaborate interior decor and beverage experience.

Vintage Almanac Menu
Inspired by vintage almanacs of the 19th and early 20th centuries, the 24-page almanac style menu features a variety of sections, each with a unique layouts, ornaments, typefaces, and illustrations sourced from archived almanacs.
To add an element of fun & delight, we even created custom ads for recognizable nearby businesses with deep roots in the North Beach neighborhood.
